UP Government Approves ₹49 Crore forc in 21 Inter-Colleges Across 17 Districts

Uttar Pradesh to build indoor mini stadiums in 21 inter-colleges across 17 districts, boosting sports facilities and training for students.

Lucknow: To enhance sports facilities, the state government has taken significant action. In 17 districts, 21 government intercollegiates will now have indoor mini stadiums constructed. Rs 49 crore has been approved for this. The construction of an indoor micro stadium will cost Rs 4.92 crore. The government has released the first amount of Rs 2.16 crore for each of these installments.

The proposals from 23 institutions across 19 districts were reviewed by the secondary education department’s evaluation committee. Of these, the plans for 21 colleges in the remaining 17 districts were accepted, but the plans for Unnao and Ghazipur were canceled for land-related issues. Better sports facilities for pupils and the development of school-level athletic potential will result from the installation of these indoor small stadiums.

The government has given various working institutions responsibilities for construction in various districts. In addition, a small indoor stadium with amenities for badminton, volleyball, football, hockey, and cricket is being constructed at GIC, Jhansi, as part of the Smart City initiative.

These districts’ GICs will see the construction of indoor small stadiums.

In Kanpur Nagar, Mathura, Bijnor, Gautam Budh Nagar, Aligarh, Sambhal, Hardoi, Badaun, Ayodhya, Pratapgarh, Bhadohi, Varanasi, Agra, and Pilibhit, indoor micro stadiums will be constructed in one college each. Three tiny stadiums will be built at Government Inter Colleges in Bulandshahr, and two will be built in Ambedkar Nagar while Gonda. According to the secondary education department, these stadiums will provide both urban and rural students with the chance to reach new heights in sports and will offer the state’s sports culture a new direction.

In a number of the state’s government intermediate colleges (GICs), the Yogi Adityanath administration intends to construct miniature indoor stadiums. This has been cleared for 113.16 crore rupees. These stadiums seek to promote a variety of sports and give kids access to sports instruction. At 23 GIC and GGIC, miniature indoor stadiums will be constructed. These are being built to encourage participation in sports and give pupils instruction in a variety of sports.
