PM Luxon warmly congratulates Prime Minister on his re-election. Both leaders reiterate their commitment to advance bilateral ties rooted in shared democratic values and people-to-people ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called with his New Zealand colleague, Christopher Luxon, on Saturday, and the latter expressed his heartfelt congratulations on his historic third term.

The Indian leader also reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening India-New Zealand connections, which are based on shared democratic ideals and people-to-people relationships.

 

Luxon enthusiastically congratulated PM Modi on his third term following the June Lok Sabha elections.

Both leaders reiterate their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation based on shared democratic values and people-to-people relationships.

PM Modi and Luxon also committed to expand collaboration in trade, animal husbandry, medicines, education, and space, among other sectors.

PM Modi thanked Prime Minister Luxon for looking after the interests of the Indian diaspora. PM Luxon reassures him of their safety and well-being.

 

Luxon took to X, saying, “I’ve just spoken with India’s Prime Minister @narendramodi and congratulated him on his recent election victory. I told the Prime Minister how much I value the immense contribution that Indian-Kiwis make to New Zealand. We both agreed there is so much more our countries can do together!”

 

 

Responding to his tweet, PM Modi said, “I thank Prime Minister @Chrisluxonmp for his call and warm felicitations. Reiterated our firm commitment to take forward India-New Zealand ties, which are rooted in shared democratic values and people-to-people ties. Appreciate his efforts towards the security and well-being of the Indian diaspora in New Zealand.”
