According to Delhi PWD officials, high traffic has caused cracks to form in several locations on the upper surface of Ring Road.

The Ring Road, which is utilized by thousands of commuters every day, will be strengthened and upgraded from Ashram to the Bhairon Road T-point, according to Delhi Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Atishi’s approval.

The South and Central Delhi areas, including ITO, Kashmere Gate, India Gate, Sarai Kale Khan, Mayur Vihar, Lajpat Nagar, NFC, Maharani Bagh, Nizamuddin, and others, are connected by the 4.5-kilometer Ring Road, which runs from Ashram to the Bhairon Road T-point.

Officials report that several cracks on the upper surface of the road have been observed as a result of high traffic. Following an expert-led inspection of the road by PWD authorities, Atishi issued an order to reinforce it as soon as feasible.

The Kejriwal administration’s goal is to build an elite and secure transportation system in the city by adhering to global norms.

The Ring Road, which connects several areas of Delhi and facilitates the daily commute for thousands of citizens, is being reinforced by the government in this direction, according to Atishi.

In order to minimize disruptions to commuters and pedestrians, Atishi also gave officials instructions to adhere to all safety, security, and quality criteria while upgrading the road.

The officials have been instructed to make sure that when building new roads, all requirements for high-quality roads are met.
